A horse walked into an expensive restaurant. The head
waiter came up to him.
  “Good evening,” he said.
  “I’d like a table for one, please,” the horse said.
  “Have you made a reservation?” the waiter asked.
  “Yes,” the horse said, “I phoned. My name is Running Boy.”
  “Of course,” the waiter said. “This way, please, Running
Boy.”
  He led the horse to a good table by the window. The horse
sat down and the waiter handed him the menu.
  “I’d like a steak, please,” the horse said. “Well-done with a
potato and salad.”

  “Certainly,” the waiter said and went away.
  A little later he returned with the meal and put it on the
table in front of the horse.
  “Enjoy your meal,” he said to the horse and walked away.
  The horse had the meal and enjoyed it very much. Then he
asked the waiter for the bill.
  When the waiter gave it to him, the horse said, “You must
think it’s very unusual—a horse coming into your restaurant and
ordering a steak well-done.”
  “Not at all,” the waiter said. “I like it cooked that way
myself.”

      没什么奇怪的
  一匹马走进一家非常昂贵的餐馆。
  领班走过来，说：“晚上好。”
  “请给我一张单人桌。”这匹马说。
  “您提前预约了吗？”领班问。
  “是的，” 这匹马说，“我打过电话，我是飞毛腿。”
  “哦，这边请。” 领班说。
  他领着这匹马来到靠窗一个很好的桌位，马坐下后，服务员便递上了一
份菜单。
  “请给我一份牛排，”马说，“全熟的，外加土豆和沙拉。”
  “好的。” 领班说完就离开了。
  不一会儿，服务员端着食物放在桌子上。
  “祝您用餐愉快。”他说完后就离开了。
  马吃得很愉快，最后让服务员结账。
  服务员把账单递上时，马说：“你一定认为很奇怪吧——一匹马来这里
点了一份全熟的牛排。”
  “一点也不啊，”服务员说，“我也喜欢吃全熟的牛排。”
